Our Town Sarasota.com was founded by Our Town Media. Our Town Media was founded in 1970. It is a 2nd generation local publishing entity. Having its roots in newspaper publishing, we moved iour properties onto the Internet in 2000. In its original newspaper format, it was ranked 2nd to the NY Times in readership for its market area. Our Town has always been about the community and trying to help maintain and enhance the quality of life. We prefer to take a look at the light side of life and bring out the positive while trying to keep a common-sense approach to the needs of our area.
